    ABB Acquires Siemens’ Wiring Accessories Business in China

    ZURICH, Switzerland, Mar 3, 2025 – ABB has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Siemens’ Wiring Accessories business in China to broaden ABB’s market reach and complement its regional customer offering within smart buildings. Generating over $150 million in revenue in 2024, the business adds a comprehensive product portfolio, a robust distribution network across 230 cities, and 350 skilled employees. The transaction was announced on May 17, 2024, and the financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

    The business will be margin accretive to ABB and expand ABB’s portfolio with wiring accessories, smart home systems, smart door locks, and further peripheral home automation products, which will continue with the Siemens brand under terms of a licensing agreement. ABB is positioned to deliver integrated solutions that improve energy efficiency, modernize buildings, and reduce carbon emissions by expanding its product range and distribution network.

    MUNICH, Germany, Feb 25, 2025 – Infineon Technologies AG and Eatron extend their existing partnership for battery management solutions (BMS) in automotive to a comprehensive BMS portfolio, including various industrial and consumer applications. Enabled by Infineon’s PSOC microcontrollers, the collaboration brings together the benefits of AI-powered battery optimization software and advanced power semiconductor components to create a solution that minimizes degradation, detects safety issues, and enhances the performance and reliability of battery-powered systems.

    The technology integrates Eatron’s AI-powered BMS software, based on pre-trained models, featuring SOX, RUL, and Safety Diagnostic, with Infineon’s components, including MOSFETs for battery protection and PSOC 6 AI-based battery management system for state-of-the-art machine learning capabilities. Customers can access a range of benefits, including precise forecasts of battery State of Charge (SOC), reduced system costs, and faster market entry. The collaboration meets the emerging need for advanced battery management systems across industrial and consumer sectors, including light electric vehicles, portable electronics, energy storage, robotics, and power tools.

    The battery management and optimization market is growing fast. It is due to a rising need for more energy efficiency, extended battery life, and predictive maintenance. AI plays a key role in enhancing battery performance, making the Eatron-Infineon technology a top choice for various applications. These include robotics, wearables, portable medical devices, smart home devices, battery-operated IoT products, and low-power energy storage systems.

    Eatron’s software has been pre-validated and deployed on Infineon’s PSoC. It has been benchmarked on an application comprising up to 24 cells against traditional techniques that require cell characterization. The evaluation used a commercially available LG Chem INR21700 M50 cell across a broad temperature range (0–45°C), demonstrating comparable results. These findings underscore the strong value proposition of Eatron-Infineon technology.

The system is housed in a compact, lightweight NEMA A1 enclosure. It includes built-in BACnet and Modbus protocols, making installation and communication with any building management system straightforward. Powered by the industrial process automation framework, it utilizes Delta’s compact modular mid-range PLC AS series for fast and precise data collection from meters, AC motor drives, sensors, and more. This data is then displayed on the HMI and can be accessed remotely through mobile devices using wireless or internet connections. Users can also store the data in the cloud. Furthermore, data can be sent to VTScada for detailed system analysis, enabling remote monitoring and improving equipment performance.

    • Delta Heavy Duty Fans Series: Engineered for superior performance with fan sizes of 200*70 mm to 400*70 mm, the fans feature an aerodynamic design achieved through CAE for low noise operation. They offer advanced protection with IP68/IP69K ratings, multiple electronic safeguards, and a motor potting design. Built to withstand harsh environments, they have passed rigorous salt spray tests, are UV resistant, and feature a no cooling holes design.     • Delta BreezFresh FRS200HT: The DC fresh air supply fan provides adjustable airflow from 30 to 200 CFM. It features advanced filtration with a built-in MERV13 filter that removes pollutants and reduces allergens. The fan operates noiselessly and includes smart controls for easy adjustments of airflow, temperature, and humidity settings, ensuring fresh indoor air.

    • Delta BreezFresh VEB120S ERV: An energy recovery ventilation system with an ECM motor is designed to operate continuously for at least 60,000 hours. It offers a sensible heat recovery efficiency of 75%. The system includes MERV13 filters for improved air quality and has insulated housing to minimize condensation and noise. Additionally, it features interlocked control that can be integrated directly with the HVAC system.

    • Delta Breez Benicia Ceiling Fan: This 52-inch ceiling fan has three blades and is recognized as ENERGY STAR’s most efficient model for 2025. It is rated for both indoor and outdoor use and features a 6-speed brushless DC motor that provides airflow of up to 4,800 CFM. The fan includes integrated dimmable LED lighting that produces 1,000 lumens and has a color rendering index of 90, enhancing comfort and efficiency.
